Letter received from an Educator
Hello,
Remember the first time you saw a
child's eyes light up at learning
something new? Tying her shoes? Or
singing the ABCs? Isn't that special
feeling what drew you to teaching?
I'm Holli LaRocca and that's why I
became a teacher. It's also why I made
the move to teaching Kindermusik. I was
teaching pre-school when the owners of
my local music store in Great Neck, NY,
asked me to teacher the program there.
They know about my music background and
all their research said that Kindermusik
was the best children's music program.
The more I learned about Kindermusik,
the

more I fell in love with it.
Yes, it's the world's leading music and
movement program for new borns to seven
year olds. But I'll tell you why I love
teaching Kindermusik. It's based on
everything early childhood research says
and all good teachers know: music is a
powerful gateway to the whole child's
development, especially in the critical
early years. And it's sheer fun for both
children and their parents!
In my perfect world, every child would
be given the rich experience of
Kindermusik. And every teacher could
teach this way. I have the finest
curricula, including instruments, CDs,
books and home activities. I have a
comfortable income, and the freedom to
make my own rules and set my own
schedule. I am actually following my
dream, no longer ending the day
exhausted. And nothing can compare to
the 200 hugs I get every week.
If this sounds great but you're a bit
unsure about making a change, I
understand. That's why Kindermusik is
there for you every step of the way. The
professional training not only prepares
you to teach, it equips you with the
business and marketing skills you need.
A learning group of other new educators
led by an experienced mentor will help
you feel connected. Even after you begin
teaching, the Kindermusik staff and
other teachers will continue to offer
great advice and support. It's
reassuring to know you're part of the
Kindermusik family.
Like me, every Kindermusik educator has
been involved in music - singing in a
choir, playing an instrument, teaching
music lessons - though not everyone has
a formal degree in music or education. I
teach full-time, but you can teach
part-time, in summer camps or after
school. You can work for another
Kindermusik educator or decide to launch
your own business. It's your choice!
If it's your dream to teach children
using the magic of music, what are you
waiting for?
Kind regards,
Holli LaRocca
